WHO WE ARE
The African-American Chamber of Central Pennsylvania is a non-profit 501c3 organization that encourages, empowers, and promotes economic development and growth to the African American, small, minority and women owned business community through entrepreneurship, business development, training and business partnerships throughout the Central Pennsylvania region.
Resources. Resources are available for each member for access, education, and sustainibility.
Education. Programs and events geared toward the needs of our members.
Advocacy. The voice of the African-American business community. This effort is carried out through ongoing, consistent dialogue with legislators, policy-makers, public and private sector corporations, and financial institutions about the specific actions necessary to achieve positive evolvement within the African-American business community at large.
Participation. The most essential components in advancing the African-American business community. Through partnerships with similar interest organizations, the AACCCP works to streamline the MBE certification process and centralize bid-assistance resources.
WHAT WE DO
PROGRAMS WITH A CAUSE
Today, the chamber’s staff and board are building on our rich history and revitalizing our approach to better prepare businesses for opportunities in an ever-changing economic environment. Our monthly “Professional Thursday’s” networking event connects minority businesses to support and encourage group economics, our annual “Build Your Business Bootcamp” provides mature businesses and startups with tools, networking opportunities and funds essential to accelerating their business goals, quarterly we hold forum’s such as the “Great Debate” series where local leaders come together and discuss issues that pertain to our community, and our annual “Turkey Giveaway” promotes participation and service during the holiday season to those in our community.
CONNECT & GROWThe African American Chamber provides mentoring, seminars, and network functions that assists our members with opportunities for business development, growth, and success. One of the biggest advantages of being affiliated with the African American Chamber of Commerce of Central PA is the camaraderie. Regardless of the size of your business, you can benefit from the advice, tips and leads that fellow entrepreneurs generously share to help other African American businesses as well as other minority owned small businesses succeed.
